Stable Talk CAFE & TAPAS BAR

Stable Talk cafe located at 126 Anzac Parade Kensington is bringing a more sophisticated yet rustic cool feel and menu to Kensington. The cafe has only been open for 6 months but already has established a good following for breakfast and lunch. 

The rustic (stable) fit out is right on brand even down to the toilet door sign thats says 'Male Track Room'. 

The venue is surprisingly big and is set up to cater for large breakfast or lunch groups. It is an ideal venue for a corporate lunch or Uni cram session due to the large communal seating areas. 

I only had a coffee this visit which was made perfectly and will have me returning for another. 

The manager Alex and owner Gary were both very accommodating and run their venue to the highest standards in terms of food presentation, customer service and general operations. 

If you are in the area drop in and go treat yourself to what looks like a delicious menu and i am sure you will not be disappointed. 

I will be going back to try their new Saffron poached honey pears with white chocolate mousse and pistachio praline, yummy...........

the Lion & Buffalo

the Lion & Buffalo located at 203A Malabar Rd South Coogee is by far my favourite community based cafe. 

The owners have paid special attention to ensure that the brand, finishings, furniture and presentation of the food sets it apart from the plethera of coffee shops out there.

The menu has been purposely designed to showcase only the best ingredients thus ensuring that quality, taste and presentation is at the forefront of their business model. 

This cafe has already gained a loyal local following in its first year of trade and has become a hub for dog owners, parents with small kids and business people alike. 

I had the steak sandwich which arrived within the appropriate wait time and was delicious. The owners informed me that they have a secret sauce which was to die for...

What was most refreshing was the friendliness of ALL staff and the attention paid to each and every customer. I can tell that this is part of their recruitment and training process and I implore more venues to take a page out of their book as the food was great but the service will drive me back time and time again. 

Go and say hi to Anna and her team this weekend, I promise you will not be disappointed. 




TWO FIVES cafe which has been an institution in the area for many years has just opened up a new cafe simply up the road on Gardeners Rosebery. 

The new fit out is rustic yet has still kept the charm of the original cafe. (check out the cash register very cool)

The corner position allows for an open plan feel and with more seats I am sure this new venue will be very successful for Ricardo the owner. 

The menu is the same and the quality of the food was just as good as always. 

The venue was busy with a decent breakfast trade and my meal arrived within the appropriate wait time.

Three Blue Ducks pop up called Bob!

This pop restaurant is being run by the very experienced team behind the Three Blue Ducks restaurants. 

The simple but delicious menu only has a few choice options whilst they settle into their new digs and receive valuable feedback from a very educated dining market in the old kitchen by mike location. 

We had the peri peri chicken which was extremely tasty and just enough heat to get that peri peri kick. The portion size was large enough to share (we had lunch).

The restaurant manager Zelimir was very accommodating and even sponsored our first round of drinks (it was my b day).

Congrats goes out to the team at TBD and best of luck with Bob i am sure it will be a huge success.


XS espresso located at 9a/1183-1187 The Horsley Dr, Wetherill Park is by far Sydneys premium espresso/cafe bar.

The unique menu covering off from indulgent milkshakes, outstanding breakfast items, latest dessert offerings and an extensive pizza range will have you coming back for more.

The owner rocky is setting the standard in unique, indulgent dishes and is the main reason why you will have to wait up to 2 hours to get a table on weekends. 

This is a truly exciting brand to watch and i will let you all know when they open their second store shortly.
